Harvest Chapel Mission (HCM) is a 501c-3 non-profit founded in 2004. Our mission is to bring glory to God and assistance to those in need, with sustaining technology. We have developed develop the following equipment so far: A hand/hydraulic operated flour mill and corn sheller. A belt driven hammer-mill and grain thresher. A multi-use power cart that can be used to operate many pieces of equipment: irrigation pump, generator, hammer-mill, thresher, hydraulic pump, and also charge batteries while performing these tasks. A remote power unit that runs on bio-fuel. We are currently developing a low speed vehicle to haul water and produce. This equipment is designed to help small farmers around the world help themselves out of poverty. This equipment charges batteries, grinds grain, threshes grain, processes cassava, pumps water, and transports crops. Farmers can utilize the features of these machines that suit their particular needs most. One farmer may want to irrigate in the morning, transport their kids to school, and bring produce to market in the afternoon. Another farmer, without much land, may want to perform contract irrigation, grain grinding, and oil processing while also charging batteries to light homes. Most of the equipment is air transportable as checked baggage or by container load as an easy to assemble kit. Each piece of equipment can be shared by a small village to produce value added farm products and increase income.
HCM has also developed a low cost, modular, steel truss building system suitable for construction of earthquake/hurricane resistant agricultural buildings, housing, churches, light weight bridging, wind/water towers, and other structures needed in a community. Our eventual goal is to help set up manufacture of these structures and farm equipment in country.
Past projects include sending seeds and drip irrigation tape to a pastor in Uganda to help support local farmers, sending a local high school student to volunteer with Christian Appalachian Project, sponsoring a Hugs Not Drugs work book and T-shirt program with local youth, and raising funds to support the American Cancer Society and a local child with cancer.
With your help and contributions, we hope to continue our support of projects within our community and the support of missions around the world.
In Faith with Hope,
Florence and Mark Fisher
